Grand-Fougeray is located in Brittany between Rennes and Nantes, on the Estuaries road. His medieval Tower is the remain of 9 towers which surrounded the Castle, kept in 1350 by the English captain Richard Bembro. Bertrand Du Guesclin took possession of the castle by trick, with his companions disguised in wood-cutters. Since 1999, a medieval feast has been taking place at the end of August on a lovely park close to the Tower and its woods, pools and arboretum.
